「Did online check-in and waited for digital key as I always do. Check-in time came and went and several hours later app still said that the room was being prepared. Had to go to the front desk only to be told that the room was ready. Not a big deal… But frustrating. 「At first glance we were impressed by the room but that changed the more time we spent in the room. The room hadn’t been really dusted or vacuumed in a while. The vents were coated in heavy layers of dust as well. 「I checked out after seeing my room. The owner refused to refund my money! The facility was not updated as advertised. The pictures where staged. The appearance of the room was not even close except for the wallpaper behind the bed! I had to drive further down to stay at the Days Inn which was much nicer. 「The Lafayette Inn is a beautiful mansion, with lovely gardens, a welcoming entry and living area and fabulous staff. We were very pleased with our 3-night stay. Breakfast options were plenty and Kristen prepared the egg bites and pastries to perfection. The snacks, cookies, coffee, filtered water were amenities not often scene. The king room was comfortable and roomy. We highly recommend the Inn.」
