"My recent stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston Hobby Airport was unfortunately not a very positive experience. I will say that the room itself was reasonably clean, and the price was affordable. However, the overall condition of the building feels like it needs significant improvement and maintenance. The property looks worn down, and some areas did not feel well kept. The phone is not working properly and wasn’t able to connect with the front desk. More importantly, I did not feel safe during my stay. I was traveling with my daughter, and as a woman traveling with a child, safety is extremely important to me. There were individuals outside smoking marijuana, and the overall atmosphere felt uncomfortable and concerning. Around 2:30 a.m., it sounded like people were trying to open different room doors, including mine. It may have been a mistake, but it was very frightening and made for a very long night. Additionally, the exterior signage is missing one of its panels, which makes it very difficult to see the hotel from the road. It’s easy to accidentally enter the neighboring property, and getting back out is confusing. While the price may be appealing, I personally would not recommend this location for women traveling alone or families with children, as I did not feel secure during my stay. "
