"Mateus had charm for sure and it is in the extremely picturesque Fontainhas neighborhood. Lots of photos to take just strolling around the area. However, there are some downsides about the hotel itself. One is that it is one of the many places in India where they push two twin beds together to make a supposedly queen or king bed. "Very warm reception. Located a few minutes walk to the river where the casino boats are. Serves fantastic breakfast with a wide variety of choices. In-house restaurant was as good. Taxis available at the doorstep too. However the wifi was a bit erratic "
