"an interesting stay, a very fancy house turned into an airbnb.
we arrived late at night so we quietly slipped off our shoes in the foyer(as requested) and went to our v large rooms.
used the lovely huge kitchen in the morning to cook n take our meals n left. saw not a single other soul though we knew other ppl were there.
It was competitive priced and well appointed. good one plus that wonderful wooden bench at the entrance and the gleaming stone of the kitchen countertop. there is old money here!"
"Our stay here was fantastic. We stayed in the Eagle's Nest, and the cabin was so nice. We had everything we needed, which included great wifi and a smart tv. The restrooms were close and very clean and modern. The creek ran right behind our cabin, and we got to watch some salmon swimming around! The owner came by to check on us, and he's a really great guy. Very friendly. It's also minutes away from downtown Seward where all of the stores and docks are. We had a great stay here! "
"The rooms were very clean and modern, and very spacious as well! It was a convenient location, close to the port where our day cruises were leaving from and also the park entrance to Exit Glacier. Self check-in was smooth and clear instructions were provided. I would highly recommend staying in this wonderful place if you are planning a trip to Seward. "
"The property is amazing. The walk in coffee shop unfortunately guilts/shames you into to tipping a min of 20%, even if you just order a bottle of water. The big screen they turn around for you to pay that makes you select a tip or not is irritating as everyone behind you can see if you tip. If I order my food and I am standing, I am not tipping.. those staff get a non-tipped wage. Get rid of the tip shakedown …"
"Check in was super easy. We got in very late and no problems finding our room and a place to park in front of our door. Rooms are very comfortable and extremely quiet. We needed a place to park an extra car for a few hours after checking out and Veronica was very accommodating. We have been looking for our go to place when we need a night in Anchorage. We will be back!!"
"We checked in and were told we had been upgraded to a lodge room, rather than a hotel unit room, which based on other reviews was a good thing. Pros: Our room had two beds and a sleeper sofa/loveseat. It was relatively clean. Tiny tiny tiny bathroom, but whatever. Good satellite TV and free WiFi. Restaurant and bar onsite. They were ok - nothing special. But this lodge has a spectacular location. Trail Lake is gorgeous. Moose Pass is a cute little community, conveniently close to a lot of things to do. Now for the Cons: this property needs maintenance! It is falling apart. Mattresses are bad. Carpet was ripped and falling apart, balusters on the stairs were falling apart, the dock was not usable. Log siding and wooden trim all deteriorating. Just heartbreaking. It was probably so beautiful back in the day. Please show it some love! "
