"The Rido is in an excellent location on Xinyi Road, there is a large park across on the other side of the road, and there's a subway station entrance just a short walk down the road. Taipei 101 and the convention centre are a few subway stops away on the red line, and the Taipei Central Station is a few stops in the other direction. So it's very accessible from both airports. The hotel's front desk has someone there 24 hours a day, which is a nice touch. There is a washing machine and dryer on the ground floor (just ask at the front desk), which is handy. The room I was in was very quiet, no problems there. The window faced the side street, not the larger Xinyi Road. From what I could see, only the larger suites face Xinyi Road, so if you're planning to stay in a regular room, then it should be quiet with regard to noise from the outside. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, everything worked, it's hard to fault. The bathroom had a shower plus a large spa bath, but I never tried the spa thing. One of the electricity plugs was the multi-country type, so it works for cable from Australia, Japan, the U.S., the U.K, and no doubt many other countries as well, so that was a nice touch. I certainly plan to stay at the Rido again if I need to go to Taipei, it was very convenient and comfortable. "

"The soundproofing is excellent; I was surprised that I cannot hear anything from the outside, even on the 9th floor. Most areas can be accessed by MRI/train stations nearby. The free mini-bars and four 600ml bottles of water per day are great bonuses, in addition to a free one-hour happy hour in one of their bars. The breakfast buffet cost 500 NT for one person provided a good variety to choose, someone mentioned about the toilet seat is not heated and not enough luggage spaces are not an issue for me . Overall I enjoy my staying, would like to give them 6 stars and will definitely stay again for my future visit. There is 18 minutes walking distance to the convention centre, again it is an easy morning walk after breakfast buffet for me. "

"I brought my mother here with her friend for 10 days for her birthday. Some reviews made us nervous with regards to the professionalism of the staff, but I have to say our experience was the complete opposite of many of the bad reviews. Upon arrival, the staff was welcoming and inviting. They were also very accommodating. We had a 16 hour direct flight from NY and were offered early check-in and we were also given the option for late check out. Bonus points for us. The front desk staff greeted us every single time they saw us and made sure to inquire if there was anything we needed. They were able to guide us with how to set up tours (tour booklet provided) and where the best points of interests would be. My mother's friend is Taiwanese, and she was highly impressed with the hotel staff. We had the deluxe twin room for my mom and myself. Admittedly, it was small. We had 2 large suitcases and 2 small carry-ons and could not have both large suitcases open at the same time. This was actually our only gripe about the room. We usually check for square footage but could not find any on the room we chose. The shower did have a musty/moldy odor, but it's a humid country. That's to be expected. Our reservation came with breakfast. The choices were not extensive, however, everything was fresh and the options they did have were delicious. We are not rewards members but our treatmeant was 5 star!! Already looking to book our next trip at the hotel! 😁"
