"Nice little motel right off the freeway exit. This was my 2nd stay. The room refrigerator is pretty spacious and the freezer was big enough to keep four ice packs frozen each night after a day in my backpack cooler. Just wish they had a 24 hour access to self-serve laundry. 5-10 minute walk from all of the downtown SLO restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. Easy freeway access."

"Amazing room with a hot tub out on our back patio, but not very private(I could see people walking by as I got out of the hot tub.. luckily I had a bathing suit on but still made me very uncomfortable). No coffee or tea in the room. Had to walk into the lobby to get coffee. Breakfast was good but it took 45 to receive our food once we ordered... and there were only three other occupied tables. Maybe only one cook? My advice would be to allow at LEAST 1 hour and 15 minutes if you are eating breakfast. I was 30 min late to work that morning. "

"i love the madonna inn. it's an opulent time warp to the excess of the 1980's. i stayed in a room with a round bed, fulfilling my childhood dream of going to the poconos mount airy lodge. this is much nicer. the hotel is spotless. there are horses in the pasture & the restaurants offer large portions. "
