"This was our first time at the Ryder hotel. It was located very conveniently in downtown Charleston. The staff was very friendly however, when we were by the pool, the service there was somewhat spotty. Often times staff would just ignore anyone who was sitting at a table and not offer them a drink. The pool was nice to have on a hot day however, it was very murky and cloudy looking. Not sure how often they check for chemical balance. Both my husband and I felt very itchy after being in the pool...

"I really enjoyed staying here. A friend and I stayed here for a girls trip. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable (which is a big plus for me) and the location was great. The only complaint I have is the man who we spoke to at checkout didn't look or act like he enjoyed his job. He was rude to us on 2 occasions. There was another young boy that was great, very kind, and upbeat attitude. Other than the rude man, I'll definitely go back!"
