"Hotel was run down after a obviously busy winter ski season. But they were in the process of renovating the roo.s. my room was renovared/nice, but the common areas were in need of remodeling the hall carpet was very soiled etc. The pool was open, but the tub spa was closed and under renovation. To be fair, i was there in the "shoulder mud season" skiing Mammoth. The hotel was not crowded so that time was good for them to begin renovations. Give them credit for that. "We saw this hotel had a rating in the 7s, but our (king) bed was very comfortable and the fireplace worked great. The front desk staff were helpful. If you’re expecting a resort upscale stay, this isn’t it, but we came for a hiking trip and every day when we stopped in for a refresh the room was very nicely cleaned. The furniture is very basic (the 2 chairs weren’t super comfortable but were fine, and the bed was extremely comfortable- I chose to sit on the bed to eat my “grab n go” breakfast)....
