"The room had a slight musty smell and I didn’t realize that the suites were outside (almost like town homes ). I would have liked to know there were options to stay in the hotel portion . But staff were friendly and it was a short but overall pleasant stay. Clean and relaxing/peaceful."

"My son and I had a wonderful stay here! The room was perfect for doing family history research with the dining table and couch to work on. The location is perfect and within walking distance to all of the main attractions of Salem. Our room was very comfortable with a day bed in the living area for sleeping and a large bed in the bedroom. The kitchenette was great for early morning coffees and small meals. The staff were very friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay here again 😊"

"Irving House is fairly conveniently located for access to Harvard Square/Cambridge. The single occupancy room was tiny but had everything I needed. The shared bathrooms were very clean and there were enough to avoid any waits. The building is a bit old and creaky, but overall comfortable and quiet. If you need the latest in mod cons, this probably isn't the place, but I enjoyed the old-school rooming house ambiance as well as the low price."

The Hostess at breakfast was very friendly and helpful with our questions about parking for my brother who was coming to meet us. Would stay here again. The only con would be thevceiling height in the 3rd floor rooms."

"Chez Pat has a unique Bostonian setting. A bit of 19th century charm with French furnishing. It is carefully decorated with antiques capturing the history of time and a touch of items from all parts of world. On my desk was a little chest from China. It is such a thoughtful touch. The hotel walls hang many of Pat and her husband paintings. They captured the countryside of France with vivid colors and refined strokes. "We had a wonderful 1 week stay at the Old Corner Inn! We loved the location. It was less then 2 hours to the train and had great parking! The innkeeper Mike was so friendly and wonderful! He helped us plan our excursions! He went out of his way to make sure our trip was wonderful and special"

"It was a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. The owner personally serves her customers and makes them feel at home. My room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was family style; my scrambled eggs were delicious. However the breakfast cost was extra. Also, I didn't have a bathroom in my room, but using the shared bathroom wasn't a problem at all. The area around the hotel is all residential, but you can easily walk to restaurants, transportation, or enjoy the nature near the Boston Reservoir....
