"Lovely location, very friendly staff, beautiful room! I had a quiet room overlooking the vineyards. There are also rooms overlooking the river, but they get afternoon sun on the balconies and you may get some street noise. The dinner and breakfast was lovely! They can reserve your favorite table. Lots of parking. Right next to bike trail- easy ride to Cochem! Super relaxing. They also have a nice looking spa area, i didn't use it though. Very good Riesling wine."

Our room overlooked the road and a football field - not super gorgeous, but cool nonetheless. "Great choice for an overnight stop driving further south, but next time, would like to stop for 3 nights to take advantage of the hotel bikes and cycle up and down the Mosel. Lovely sunny terrace for drinks and to eat our evening meal, and the breakfast was splendid."

"The hotel and restaurant are superb. Kastellaun itself however is very much a town in decline. I grew up there and it is very sad to see so many vacant shops and so few people in the middle of the holiday season."

"The lady who checked us in would not let us use the elevator. Another lady came up to us as we started the stairs and said use the elevator. The check in clerk, older white lady, said no elevator. The other lady looked at her with shock when the clerk told her in German we are not to use the elevator. I have a hip,knee and shoulder replacement. This was a struggle and not nice of her. We found and used the elevator from then on The people in the morning on our check out were wonderful "
