The breakfast had a great variety and was incredible. Being able forego cleaning in exchange for 3 euro off a product at the attached store selling wines and other nice gift items. The room was a nice size with warm showers, a kettle and a minibar with room to chill a water or put a few small items in if necessary. We really enjoyed our stay.
Very nice and well run small hotel. The host is helpful, breakfast is fine and as a plus the owners also produce wine. There is access to their wine store with lots of specialties directly from the hotel. Only breakfast is served at the hotel. Ask the host for restaurant recommendations.
WE really liked the location of the hotel. Very close to everything. The Buffett breakfast that was included was also excellent with lots of variety. Also really liked the private patio overlooking the Mosel that was for hotel guests only. Great place to take a break and relax and people watch with a glass of local Mosel wine
A lovely hotel right by the Mosel in Cochem with a view of the castle from the terrace. Comfortable room, great mini bar. Good variety at breakfast. Friendly staff. Loved it 😊
Strongly recommend this charming hotel! It was lovely and very well located within the quaint town of Cochem. It had clearly been renovated recently, and our room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was also fantastic. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating.
This hotel has a fantastic location in the center of Cochem and next to the Mosel river. All staff were friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was varied and plentiful. A great choice for a stay in Cochem!
Lovely hotel and better than expected. Very clean, nicely remodeled and tastefully decorated. Centrally located across from the Mosel and on the promenade. Staff is very helpful and breakfast was the best we had in our week long stay in Germany. Definitely recommend.
This hotel is great. So friendly and relaxed and efficient. Our room was newly renovated and clean.
It is positioned perfectly in Cochem. There’s a wine cellar underneath and you can take your wine to the hotel terrace.
The breakfast buffet is extremely well done.
It’s a very nice property on the river front. Very, very clean! The room that we had was tiny, but OK in my opinion. It didn’t bother me but it bothered my husband. Because of the slanted ceiling, he couldn’t sit up in the bed and read (it was the top floor). Yep, that small. But, overall, I don’t think it matters too much unless it’s going to serve as a home base for somebody.
I would stay there again.
While we enjoyed the location of this hotel, the person manning the desk was not very friendly. We arrived via train and walked our baggage to the hotel (15 min walk). I happened to check my email (at around 4:45 PM) while walking and I noticed that I received an email from the front desk wondering where we were & that their cut off time for check in was 5 PM. If we did not make it in by then we would have no way of checking in and getting into our room. I would have appreciated this information earlier to avoid that stress as it is highly unusual for a hotel or B & B to cut off check in at 5 PM. To make things worse, he seemed very annoyed with us and was not very friendly. As for the room, it was fine with he exception of the black out curtains. Lots of light streamed through our large window making it impossible to sleep off our jet lag.
Everything else was fine. The cleaning staff was great. I am hoping this review gets looked at by management because the person behind the desk (8/4/24) should not be in the hospitality business.
Love this town, one our favorites. Shopping is good. Weather not so great so things closed up early the first night, but down the block further and found several nice places open.
