"I imagine that the concept for this resort is "upscale motel". Honestly, that's what it is. Taking the old motel concept, giving it a huge make over, re-marketing it as a resort. The grounds are like a sprawling campus. Buildings beyond walking distance from the main lobby and pool, restaurant etc. There are other pools available to each block of rooms. "This hotel is all about Location! If you want to be close to the shopping and restaurants of El Paseo, then, this is your place! Nothing spectacular about the rooms, but they are nice, clean and comfortable. The Larkspur Grill is nice to have on site and there is a little cafe that makes excellent Lattes! I did notice that the rooms below me had extended balconies with lounge chairs that I didn't see when making my reservation. They said that only 2 of the rooms had that and they moved me to...
