Costa Brava 4 Stars Hotels

"We really enjoyed our stay- hotel location and staff were excellent and my comments below didn’t spoil the experience but I thought I’d mention them. We stayed early October and I think the hotel showed signs of wear and tear from the holiday season. It didn’t really detract from our enjoyment but there were for instance lots of stains on the corridor and room carpets, the dining chairs were well used so you would sink into them- not easy to eat from a low position. "Excellent property in an amazing area of the world. Clean, friendly staff and a location that can't be beat. We saw some folks struggling with the stairs and it is a 15 minute walk to a sand beach or a 5 minute walk to a smaller beach. If you're not going to eat on site then it's an $18 euro cab ride into Begur or a 15 minute walk to the nearest restaurant. This worked well for us but it won't work for everybody. We loved the stay and completely recommend the property"

"Really clean room, some what basic but very comfortable bed and good shower pressure. The hotel has two pools and a rooftop bar. The breakfast buffet is really good with a wide selection of hot and cold items. No issues with noise but I visited in low season. They have indoor paid parking for a fee but spaces are limited. The hotel is close to everything"

"Had a lovely stay at this hotel which is right on the promenade on beach. In a quiet locaton but very close to everything. We had a seaview room with a small balcony that got the sun morning but shade by mid afternoon. A fridge. A safe. The Room was fine we found the bed comfy. It would have been nice to have a couple of comfy chairs in the room. The bathroom had best shower ever. The room was cleaned and fresh towels daily. The breakfast was fabulous everything you want and plenty of it....

"Great place! we chose this as it was close to the suburban train, about a 15-20 min. walk from Calella / Pineda De Mar stations and was also beachfront. the hotel was pretty cheap on the days we went and included breakfast buffet, but it was during the weekdays which was a factor. Can add additional all inclusive for lunch, dinner and bars as well! (though I believe you have to stay for a min.5 nights) Had 4 water areas: 2 outside pools, 1 waterpark (5 slides and kids unit), and 1 indoors....

"Loved the sea view from superior room. Room quite Spartan for a 4 star, no cushions, no art on walls, no colour at all just stark white. No issues getting a sunbed. Breakfast fine, loads of choice. Loved the walk down to town on the prom but taxis to get back were expensive ie 13 euro for approx a mile. There is a bus the L1 which we only found on last day, an information folder in the rooms with this sort of info would have been useful"

"My husband and I returned to Hotel Anabel after 53years. It was our 1st holiday together 1971. We were so glad we did. The family run hotel made such a fuss of us when we told them our reason for returning. The hotel is still fabulous. It is spotless and everything about it is high end. The bed, bedding and towels are what you would expect in a 5*. We loved our 4 days stay and it was very nostalgic for us. "The property is perfect for families with children. It is convenient to shopping, dining and beach. It is located up a fairly steep hill—not great for people who have limited mobility. The food was ok but not excellent. Perfect for younger families"
