"The front desk staff was exceptional: polite, helpful, and very accommodating. We arrived at 6:30am flying all night from Los Angeles and didn't get good sleep on the plane. We asked if we could pay extra to check in early, even though there was no room available at that time, they tried and moved things around and was able to get us checked in at 9am with just a small early check in fee. "The rooms were bigger than what I was expecting based on the reviews. The interiors are awesome with all of the vintage stuff. Everything looks clean. There is a lot of space in the lobby too. The shower is perfect - water temp control to your liking, rain shower head with heavy water pressure. Complete toiletries including slippers that they change everytime the room is made up. Free breakfast is not bad. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again. "

"Taipei main station is about 15 mins walk from the hotel. Ximen station is about 8 mins walk from the hotel. Lots of food options nearby. There are convenience stores nearby as well. Hotel looks small from outside, but room was decent size. They provide free green tea in the lobby and there is a lounge area too. "

"Close to Taipei Main Station. Clean comfortable room, although hallway carpet and laundry in basement a little aged and shabby. Beautiful view of the city. The only real problem I had was the WiFi. It was truly terrible even for searching on google maps (which is a common activity when traveling). I had to buy more data on my eSIM to support myself. I can’t imagine trying to do any work on the WiFi. "

"I booked 2 rooms and my bedroom has a bathroom facing the streets (with proper blinds) but it was different. I was extremely happy with the location and was able to walk 5 minutes to Dongman station and buy a MRT subway ticket to ride a few stops to Taipei 101 within a few hours of arrival. Across the streets are affordable shopping and beef noodle for $5 (180 Taiwanese dollars). Much better than the upscale DinTai Fung the front desk recommended. I love the Asian buffet breakfast and tried...
