「This trip was for my kiddo’s 14th birthday! She wants to be a national park ranger when she grows up, so what better place to take her than the great Smokey mountains! 「The Tapoco Lodge is absolutely beautiful and the staff was amazing. The cabin we stayed in felt like everything was antique but somehow still new. My only complaint was that Expedia allowed me to book it as a pet-friendly room when the actual room I chose wasn’t pet-friendly. The Tapoco honored the reservation anyway and took care of us. They were terrific. My wife is already asking if we can stay here again. 」

「This is a cute little cabin -- maybe 300 square feet total, on a little bluff right by the main house. The (really friendly) owner told me that the property was designed by a European couple. The Scandinavian influence is evident. I do wish the cabin had a separate vanity area -- the only sink is the one in the kitchenette. I also could have done w/ some blinds on the house side at least, but I do appreciate the aesthetic. I would definitely stay there again!」
