"Xiao liu qiu is a beautiful island with lovely beaches and views. This hotel is very clean and quietly located some distance away from the harbour area. Accommodation here is excellent! The owners are a lovely couple who came to pick me up at the harbour and also they got their sister/sister-in-law to give me a ride back to the harbour when i left the next day. Highly recommended!"

"Great room, plenty roomy for working with your luggage. The bed isn’t the most comfortable but in general not bad at all. The washroom doesn’t have a lock on it so it’s best shared with someone you’re very comfortable with. Cleanliness overall is great. It’s true that the hallways have a weird odor but I don’t find the smell to linger nor permeate into the rooms themselves. "Stayed here for one night. It was kind of on the side of the road and very quiet. There is a llama farm next door and a really nice bar above it but we didn’t get to go there. Rooms were clean and in working condition. Breakfast was not available at the time so the hotel due to logistics issues or something so the hotel compensated us in cash. Great hotel, would stay again."

"Shanban Bay was a nice place to stay. We experienced no issues during our stay. The staff was friendly and responsive. Rooms were comfortable and well priced (we had standard room). Location was good (island is not large and we rented scooters to get around). We were able to snorkel with the sea turtles very easily and found a local guide to take us on private tour. The water visibility was a bit low due to heavy rains but still acceptable. I recommend Shanban Bay for other travelers...

"Nice boutique hotel located just 2 blocks from the Pingtung train station where one can easily find regular trains to nearby cities. The facility provides breakfast, hot/cold water machine at each floor, and laundry facilities - great convenience for a busy traveler. For those traveling in the summer (we were there in August) - the climate is very hot and humid. This hotel has good strong AC for the rooms with adjustable temperature, and reasonable AC for the lobby and dining area. Hall ways...

"Overall I had a great stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Amenities were provided. There's also a coin laundry available. I arrived few hours before check-in time to put down my luggage. However for some reason I didn't receive the check-in instructions so I couldn't get inside (there's no front desk). Tried calling and sending them whatsapp messages but there was no reply. "Old building renovated with new paints. Very near to Formosa Boulevard mrt station & just next to the Liuhe Night Market. Friendly staff. Spacious room but the emergency exit light right above the door is quite glaring eventhough all the lights in the room are off. Asked for housekeeping but was quite disappointed as they only did half of the job (floor was not sweeped or vacuumed, bed was not made & toilet paper was not topped up)"

"First time to Liuqiu and was impressed by the hospitality of Teacher Cai and staff. Given the rural country side feel of the island, this homestay was better than I had expected. Although it costs more than others, and doesn't have elevator, I wouldn't mind staying here again next time I come over.
