「Clean room, hot and powerful shower, good breakfast !」

「The hotel and our room (No 5) were nicely styled in a modern silver-grey scheme. Our room was clean and comfortable, especially the bed. Bathroom was clean and modern too. However, 3x issues really: 1. the TV didn't work very well - aerial didn't function properly so signal & picture/sound kept cutting out; 2. bathroom door didn't shut fully; and lastly, 3. single-glazed windows meant noise from the road outside was loud. We were also awoken on 2 nights around 2am from loud & shrill girls'...

「I loved this place! Selina hotel is a bright and luminous hotel near the tidal pool of Walpole Bay in Margate, only 15min walk from the old town. Our suite was stunning - big, luminous with sea view, cosy modern decor, comfortable. The large living room, terrace, bar and restaurant space make you want to spend a holiday there. Team super chill and friendly. I recommend!」

「We had an issue on the first night with a noisy kitchen fan unit under our window. Not much sleep had! I went to see Reception first thing and the receptionist and Manager were terrific. They said that we could move , we just packed our things, went out and they moved our luggage to a new room. 」

Check inn was quick and easy and entrance to hotel is actually separate to the adjacent pub which was great as we wasn't disturbed by any noise from the revellers on a weekend! 「A clean, well-run place. I booked at the last minute, so the email with information on accessing the place was sent by email while I was on the train. Wifi on the train was non-existent, so I had difficulty downloading the information, so I rang the landlord, who was extremely helpful. 」

「I came to Margate for an overnight solo birthday trip and I had the most wonderful time at No 42 by Guesthouse (Margate). The room was gorgeous - spacious, airy, well designed and with a balcony overlooking the beach that seats two people comfortably. There are lots of little amenities in the room that make your stay comfortable as well as supporting local businesses and artists, and the pantry is an excellent touch if you're feeling snacky. 「Lovely one night stay, we had wanted to stay at the Falstaff Inn for some years and finally got the opportunity recently, it was worth the wait! The room itself was clean and comfortable with a pleasant view and ensuite, perfectly situated a short stroll from the shops and marina. The inn oozes style, with a sense of modernity, period furniture and original features, the staff made instructions clear, efficient and were helpful, with a friendly welcome and checkin, great continental breakfast...

「I love these type of B&B’s. This B&B is steeped in history built in the 18th century, On the land owned by the Spencer family, Vincent Van Gogh also lived on the square, so this is not a modern hotel if that’s what you’re looking for, it has steep stairs and smallish rooms, but is full of character, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the hospitality was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious, the pub on the corner is very friendly and only a short walk to the beach.」

「I’d definitely recommend the hotel. The keyless entry didn’t initially work, but the communication with the owner was quick and a new code was sent within minutes. The rooms were lovely and there was a good variety of teas and coffees available. I was worried not having check in would mean that the owners weren’t around, but they did help us figure out how to turn the air conditioning off. The location was fantastic and it wasn’t noisy in the rooms. 」
