「This is the third time we have stayed at the black bear lodge in Stratton and every time we stay our experience is the same.. excellent. The staff are all so nice and accommodating, the property is clean and the breakfast is perfect. The rooms are comfortable and clean, it really is the perfect place to stay in Vermont. See you in October. 」

「Lovely common areas and helpful, sweet staff, but the rooms are very basic. Our AC was extremely loud, didn’t work that well. the big shower had the stingiest shower head that barely warmed one of us.」

The whole property is friendly to dogs on leashes(except possibly inside The Red Slate Restaurant). We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time exploring nearby Manchester, Londonderry, and Dorset.
