「I love this, it is very unique and like a tropical paradise. Very clean, I even saw them turning out a room to clean it. Quiet sleep. Very nice full breakfast, scrambled eggs, waffles and pancakes, sweet rolls, and home fries etc, the only thing missing was biscuits and gravy. I highly recommend it. Very easy to get to and a few blocks to the ocean on highway 101.」

「Property is well maintained and friendly staff. Was disappointed with Alice’s restaurant. Had requested a change of a condiment and it was not done. Told the waitress and she said she would have it corrected which was done however the sandwich was soggy when it was supposed to be grilled.」

「Dirty and some flies in the room, there are hairs left on the bed and pillows,the wallpaper is broken, and homeless stayed at the hotel door who will ask you for money.」

「Douglas checked us in. He was wonderful. He takes great pride in Carter House and it shows. We loved the uniqueness of this historic hotel. It was like taking a step back in time, in a good way. The extra touches like the complimentary breakfast that goes above and beyond by an amazing chef and a complimentary cocktail at a cool bar each night was a welcome reprieve. We also appreciated the proximity to the Redwood forest. Driving thru the Avenue of the Giants was incredible. We will be back! 」

「The Requa Inn appeared to be the nicest place to stay in the Redwood Parks area, aside from the tribal casino in Klamath village. It’s a small B&B operation, and they’re trying hard. Very clean, but things like door latches need repair/adjustment. Good breakfast available (extra charge) but no lunch or dinner in an area with few decent eateries. 」

「Great historical hotel in downtown Eureka! Free parking right beside the hotel and homeless are everywhere! Nothing the hotel can do about it but I wasn’t aware of the abundance of the homeless. However, the hotel room so nice, comfortable beds, but you will hear everything outside. Great value and would stay here again! 」

「這個價錢能享受到優質的服務，十分難得。 酒店本身就是一個景點，其花園雅緻，其建築保留十九世紀的風味。 我們的房間是獨立的，沒有上層住客，且有個天窗，採自然光。門前有所小庭院，佈置優美。 早餐以甜點為主，但我們吃的時間有點晚，其他人都吃完，菜就涼了，有點美中不足。 這裡北有海灣，南邊就是Anvenue of gaints，具旅遊的戰略位置。 街道上每所房子都刻意保養原貌，而且人都十分和善。」
