Overview

The experience takes place in a beautifully preserved a century old traditional house in Kamakura. This type of building, blending Japanese and Western architectural styles, was once common in the area, but very few remain today, and it is worth visiting just to see it. You can also enjoy the sight of Kamakura’s iconic Enoden line passing just next to the grounds, without leaving the building. Relax in the serene garden, surrounded by lush greenery, as you enjoy your handmade sushi in a truly timeless setting.

Activity itinerary

Discover the Art of Sushi in Kamakura -Learn the delicate craft of sushi from a master chef who trained and worked for over 20 years at Ginza’s most prestigious restaurants. With personal guidance, you’ll uncover the true essence of sushi craftsmanship—an experience rooted in tradition and refined technique. You’ll create 10 to 12 pieces of nigiri sushi using premium ingredients such as tuna, sea bream, shrimp, squid, yellowtail, and salmon roe, which are of the same high quality as those served at high-end sushi restaurants. The selection of sushi varies with the seasons. -The venue is a century old traditional Japanese house located just a 10-minute walk from Kamakura Station, on the way to the Great Buddha of Hase. Originally built as a luxurious villa for a wealthy Tokyo family, this historic home offers a serene setting where the Enoden train passes right beside the garden — you can savor the sushi you made yourself while watching the charming train go by. Just a 10‑minute stroll from the venue brings you to to the seaside where you can see Mt. Fuji. Viewed beyond Enoshima, Mt. Fuji appears like a scene straight out of a ukiyo‑e woodblock print.
