Approximate itinerary:

  • 9:30am - clear security to board ferry to Liberty Island

  • 10am - arrive at Liberty Island for a tour and visit to the Statue of Liberty Museum

  • 12pm - arrive at Ellis Island for a tour and visit to Ellis Island Museum

  • 1:30pm - typical ending time, but you are welcome to stay as long as you wish and then return by ferry to NYC at your leisure

Upon disembarking, stroll around the island and admire a remarkable view of the Big Apple's skyline.

All guests can tour the Statue of Liberty museum to learn about the construction and architecture as well as remarkable stories of the people involved in erecting this symbol of freedom and welcome. Choose the 4 Hour tour option, and after you leave the Statue of Liberty Museum, hop on the ferry to Ellis Island with your expert guide.

Listen to your guide share stories of the more than 12 million immigrants who traveled through Ellis Island, which was busiest between 1892 and 1924. Walk around the historic grounds, explore the Immigration Museum, and, after the guided tour ends, feel free to grab lunch or spend some more time on Ellis Island before heading back to the city at your own pace.

Best tour guide ever-Liam!!!! It was overcast, light rain still the perfect tour. I highly recommend this tour!! Note-if you have been to Liberty Island or Ellis Island in the past exhibits have changed quite a bit. Ellis Island is more educational, as it use to be a grand exhibit of feeling the struggles, weight, desperation, and joys coming to the United States. Still worth the money. The guide does not go in the museums with you, but does give great facts, stories, insights that make it worth it.

My Tourguide Mindy from ExperienceFirst was information. She made the Experience fun and educational. She knew the best spot to take our photos, which she aided in taking. I really enjoyed this 2-hour guided tour of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. It was easy to find the meeting spot in Battery Park and check-in went smoothly. Our guide, Maya, was incredible — super friendly, remembered everyone's names, and made the whole experience feel personal. She led us through ferry security (which was airport-style — a heads-up in the tour info would be helpful!) and gave great tips on where to stand for the best views. On Liberty Island, Maya shared fun, interesting facts and took amazing photos for us — some of my favorite shots from the trip! The tour ended at Liberty Island with the option to continue on to Ellis Island. As a solo traveler, this was a perfect experience — well-paced, informative, and fun. Maya was the highlight, and I’d gladly join another tour with her!
