I’m soooo happy that I booked this tour. Although we had a A LOT of places to visit, I didn’t feel rushed at all. For most of the time, I was just chilling and enjoying the view. They picked me up at my hotel, and provided lunch, dinner and plenty of snacks and drinks (water or canned sodas) whenever you needed. The car is super comfortable and well-maintained. Our tour guide, Felix, is suuuuper knowledgeable (especially about volcanos). I’m soooo happy he’s our tour guide as I’m really into nature stuff. He literally gave us a thorough tour of the volcano park and showed us many hidden gems. Can’t fault anything about this tour! Highly recommended!

I cannot say enough positive things about our tour guide, Scott. Not only is he local, with an intimate knowledge of Big Island history, culture, and mythology, but he’s a veteran and a former national park ranger. He brings joy, love, and fun to what could be a very long day tour. His gifted storytelling makes time between stops magical, passing in a blink of an eye. If he didn’t already have amazing parents, I would adopt him on principle because he is such a treasure. My daughter and her fiancé add, “He was fantastic, told amazing stories, and was genuinely friendly and kind. He had an answer for every crazy question and genuinely loves his job. Deserves a pay raise — or three.”

The Mauna Loa helicopter tour did not meet my expectations in terms of value and quality. Despite the high cost ($325.86CDN per adult x 2, $651.66CDN), the tour felt short and lacking in informative content. The duration was advertised as ½ hour, but it felt like we only flew for a few minutes in different directions before returning. The safety briefing seemed to count towards a portion of the tour time? I did not find the tour to be educational or engaging, aside from the view of the airport and colorful waters. However, the pilot exhibited a pleasant and amicable demeanor. In the future, I would suggest exploring the island by renting a car rather than opting for the helicopter tour.

Aaron was great. He had a lot of interesting details that he shared. He kept us on schedule and was very friendly. Made the trip very enjoyable. As for the trip it was perfect. It gave us everything I had hoped for. Long day but we hit all of the sites. I did not feel rushed. I took the family and at the end of the day I asked them was was the best part and they couldn’t decide as it was perfect. The volcano, the star gazing, the majestic black sand beach, the coffee farm, the lava tubes, and the meals and treats along the way. It was Awesome. Never have we experienced a tour so complete. The company and Aaron thought of everything. Even coats for the night when it was cool. Truly the most organized tour we have ever experienced. Loved it and highly recommend it.

Great experience! Totally worth the money as it is 12 hours of events starting at a Kona coffee farm and ending with stargazing at the beautiful Hawaii night sky. Our tour guide was wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable and covered information at every stop as well as have us general Hawaii information while we were driving. Highly highly recommend!
