The biggest problem with this was the amount of people there. We did get in on time although had to wait in a mob scene. the garden and buildings were nice but the tour took a long time, winding through rooms and rooms of Roman statues to get to the Sistine Chapel, which was just OK. Best part was going to the Basilica of St. Pietro. That was gorgeous and worth it. Our guide, Niccola, was very knowledgeable and did a heroic job trying to keep us all together in the crowds. He apologized several times for it being "so busy" so maybe it was just a fluke.
