This was a really great full-day trip. Our guide Gennaro and driver Rosario were very kind and helpful. They picked us up right at the hotel as well. Pompeii was very amazing to see, we had an amazing lunch with wine at a beautiful little winery, and the short hike up Vesuvius was a good end to the day. The volcano was amazing to see up close, but be prepared for about a 30-minute climb up sloped but easy terrain. There are shops along the way if you need a drink or a souvenir. Would definitely recommend adding this trip to your Naples itinerary.

We enjoyed the tour. The pickup at the cruise ship terminal was flawless. Walter was a great guide, gave us a lot of useful information. Climbing Vesuvius was not too hard, even in the light rain and even for not the most fit couple, but the experience was priceless. We opted out of the wine tasting (based on the previous reviewed) and only had lunch which was OK. Unfortunately, we did not have time even for a quick drive in Naples. Overall, I recommend this tour.

Pick up was late but we didn't panic as it sems to be the way in southern Italy (for main trains & public transport). Guide Giovanni was helpful & professional with perfect English & his French & Spanish sounded good too. He looked after everyone very well & had good knowledge. The local guide at Pompeii (Anna) was very good too. The 2 hour tour was a good overview, but you could easily fill twice as long, if you have more time than we had, in the Naples area. The wine 'tasting' was a small glass of each of the local red, rose & white wines, served at the lunchtime table, rather than any discussion or additional information, but that was fine for me as Giovanni had explained them on the way there. The lunch time restaurant was pleasant & staff amenable. The bus was relatively small (c20 people), which meant efficient stops and a friendly atmosphere. I would recommend this tour.
