This was a short little tour - meeting at a centralized location in Venice, then (paying for) and taking a water Taxi to Murano. A short (perhaps half hour) demonstration by a Master Glass crafter - I could have stayed watching the Master for so much longer!! The process was fascinating. From the demonstration, we were brought to a craft room where we could make either jewelry from glass beads, or a mosaic from pieces of glass. Then we toured the shop. The Tour itself was like touring a museum, the details on the glass were works or art. However, it did feel as if it was pressure to buy expensive pieces. Overall a good experience, but not one I would repeat.

This tour was terrible. The cost of the tour does not include the boat ride so in addition to the cost of the tour you must pay for a boat ride to and from Murano. The meeting spot where you meet the guide is 1.8 miles away from the boat. On the way from Murano, you must figure out how to get back on your own. These are the exact words from the guude. The tour lasted exactly 12 minutes. The rest of the time they want you to shop for an item which cost $400 plus that you just saw them make (which took) 6 minutes). Pretty unbelievable to ask someone to pay $400 for a glass horse which took 6 minutes to make. This whole experience was a complete scam. Definitely do NOT go on this tour! I have used Expedia for many years to travel all over the world. I'm very surprised that Expedia would sponsor this tour.

The guide was very good in making sure we got to the location, but the remainder of the tour was a joke the hands on work was threading a bracelet together or a making a mosaic piece on a small little piece of paper which would not be fired , something I have done with my 8 year old daughter it was for children, watching the glass blowing was interesting but the guides were more interested in talking to each other then giving out any information, and then did a hard sell at the end to buy very disappointing...

The glass factory tour was brilliant but you need to make customers aware that the tour does not include the cost of water transfer from Venice to the Glass island which cost us an extra €50 euros return trip for three people. Your guide was very rude and told me it was explicit in the communications I had been sent even though I had a paper copy of all comms which I showed him
