We recently went on a kayak tour of the Tamarin River in Mauritius, and it was an unforgettable experience! The river’s calm waters surrounded by lush greenery created the perfect setting for a peaceful and scenic adventure. Our guides, Regine and Beatrice, were absolutely amazing. They were not only knowledgeable and professional but also friendly and engaging, making the entire experience both fun and informative. Their insights about the local wildlife and the area really enhanced the trip. The kayaking itself was smooth and enjoyable, and we were able to take in the beauty of the river at a relaxing pace. Whether you're an experienced kayaker or a first-timer, this tour is suitable for all levels. We arrived at the meeting point 40 minutes before time only to be told that it starts to 13.40insted of the planned time of 13.30. When we arrived 13.40, the instructor said we were late. When we were on the river we bumped into a tree and tried to call out to the instructor for assistance but he ignored us and left with the group further down the river. We are extremely dissapointed with this service as we were stranded and HD to make ut back to shore after being abandoned. We want refund as we did not participate in the activity

Nice kayak trip in the river going upstream the two arms, to a swimming spot, and then back down, overall approx 1,5h, a good exercise but not exhausting. Our guide Matt was friendly and showed us around, it was a group of 6 kayaks. As minus, our kayak had somehow holes so we were sitting all the round on water, which from our previous experience is not normal, however it was not cold and was well stable.

The host was pleasant when we first arrived which was cool. The rest of the kayak session felt average at best. There was little to no interaction with the guide who provided no information about the beautiful surroundings we found ourselves in. Nothing about the fauna or species in the area. It felt like we were just kayaking aimlessly with no end goal which made the experience unrewarding. Also it dragged on for almost 3 hours (which may of been because we wasted half an hour with one of the kayaks capsizing). Kayaking is cool (in general). This particular tour, we don't think was.
