What you can expect

Embark on an unforgettable adventure to the heart of the Nahuel Huapi National Park, where the majestic Cerro Tronador stands as the guardian of the eternal snows and hanging glaciers. Its imposing presence and the echo of its ice falls, which resound like thunder, will reveal the mystery behind its name.
The journey begins in Bariloche, taking the iconic National Route 40 South. Over 45 km, we will enter landscapes that seem straight out of a story. We will cross the Huenuleo Pampa, border the crystalline Gutiérrez Lake and cross the Pilmayen and Melgarejo streams, with each curve offering unforgettable postcards.
Upon reaching the 'watershed', we will find the serene Mascardi Lake, whose waters will guide us to the detour that leads to the Tronador, through a charming gravel road. From here, the landscape transforms: we will border Mascardi again, this time along its mystical west coast, until we reach the viewpoint of Isla Corazón, a panoramic point that steals sighs.
The route will take us in front of the enigmatic Cerro Los Emparedados and along the meandering Manso Superior River, until we reach Pampa Linda, the ideal place to enjoy an unparalleled view of the imposing Tronador.
As we advance, we will cross the Vuriloches Valley, a hidden natural paradise, and cross a lush shady forest that will lead us to the fascinating Ventisquero Negro, a masterpiece of nature.
The excursion culminates at the base of Cerro Tronador, a colossal work of nature with its 3,454 meters above sea level and its three peaks: International, Argentine and Chilean.
