It was a nice trip to St Emillion. We were 3 couples with the driver in a comfortable minivan. The tour guide was friendly and provided an overview of the wine regions around Bordeaux. We were met in St Emillion by a local expert. We spent 10 minutes at the winery inside the town where we did not see much other than some empty tanks, a few wooden barrels and the bottles were locked away far from sight. He then took us to the tasting shop and we tried 6 different wines and we learned a lot from him. That was the best part. Overall, I felt like the price was too high for what you get, especially that there was not much to see at the winery, not even the vines. Perhaps, this trip can be done without a tour company by taking the train and trying wine within the village.
