What you can expect

Prepare to immerse yourself in one of Australia’s most ancient and breathtaking landscapes on this full-day Grampians (Gariwerd) Tour. Explore dramatic sandstone ranges, panoramic views, cascading waterfalls, and a region rich in Aboriginal heritage—all in one unforgettable adventure.

The Grampians are a striking series of rugged mountain ranges shaped over millions of years. With their towering peaks, unique rock formations, and vibrant wildlife—including kangaroos, emus, and a range of bird species—the region offers one of Australia’s most iconic natural experiences.

We begin the day with a short stop in the town of Beaufort, where you can stretch your legs and enjoy a morning tea and light refreshments. From there, we travel deep into Grampians National Park, where your adventure truly begins.

Breathe in the fresh mountain air as we embark on a scenic hike to some of the park’s most impressive viewpoints. Along the way, take in awe-inspiring vistas that showcase the natural beauty and geological wonder of this ancient land.

Next, we stop in Halls Gap for lunch (at own expense). This charming town nestled within the ranges offers great dining options—an ideal chance to relax and enjoy the local atmosphere.

After lunch, we visit some of the Grampians’ most famous lookouts, including Boroka Lookout, Reeds Lookout, and The Balconies (also known as the Jaws of Death). These locations are known for their sweeping views and dramatic rock formations—featured in the anime Princess Mononoke and even more stunning in real life.

A highlight of the day is MacKenzie Falls, one of Victoria’s largest and most spectacular waterfalls. Whether you take the trail to the base or admire it from the lookout, the sheer power and beauty of the falls make for an unforgettable moment. Depending on the day and conditions, we may also visit Silverband Falls or Beehive Falls, both offering their own serene charm and photo-worthy scenery.

After a day filled with nature, hiking, and discovery, we begin the return journey to Melbourne with a final stop to rest and refresh. The Grampians will leave you with lasting memories of its wild beauty, rich culture, and peaceful landscapes.

Join us for a day of nature, adventure, and cultural insight—you’ll walk away with a deeper connection to one of Australia's most remarkable regions.
