We highly recommend this wine tasting tour. It is not your typical tourist attraction, but a relaxed authentic experience. Micki was a wonderful guide, and the experience was a true highlight of our week in Budapest. The tour provided a fantastic opportunity to learn not only about wine in general, but specifically about the rich and unique Hungarian wine culture. Micki's knowledge was extensive, and he shared it in an engaging and accessible way. The setting was beautiful and looked something out of Lord of the Rings. We tasted a selection of interesting local wines. It was very casual and enjoyable and we left feeling much more knowledgeable about Hungarian wines. If you're looking for a laid back and informative wine tasting experience in a beautiful setting, this tour is an excellent choice.

I went with my mom between Christmas and New Years 2024 and this tour was part of her Christmas present from me. We had such a good time and Miki is incredible. This was the highlight of our trip. The vintner was a sweetheart and gave us cookies made by her mother which were phenomenal and Miki provided Hungarian sausage and cheese from a local market. This tour was the highlight of our trip and I highly recommend it!

Micky was a wonderful guide and was so knowledgeable about wine and Hungarys wine history. We learned so much and had such a beautiful day out in the country listening to roosters crow and sampling delicious Hungarian wine and food. The owner of the wine cellar was so lovely as well, although the didn’t speak any English and we didn’t speak any Hungarian we were still able to connect over love of wine! It was the highlight of our time in Hungary!

A very unique experience! Would never have found these wine cellars on our own or probably be able to visit! Our guide Miki provided us with a lot of great information on the Hungarian wine culture. The cellar owner is a very small producer -1000 bottles annually - so it was very special to taste his wine and “talk” to him through Miki. He did not speak English. The wine cellars themselves are not what you usually see on a tour. Hobbit houses! Getting to pour our own bottle of wine at the end put an exclamation mark on the experience. We did pay for the bottle!

The wine tour to the tiny village of Paty was a very unique and original experience! Our guide Miklas made it very interesting by first telling us a bit of BudaPest history and then the history of Paty and the concept of the personally owned wine cellars. Mikki answered a lot of our questions about wine making, various wine regions in the country and answered random questions that popped up during the tour. The wine cellar owner was generous with tastings and fed us light snacks. We met a wonderful fun couple on the trip. So the tour was a total success. Thanks Mikki!!!
