This masterpiece, built between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, houses the icon of the Madonna and Child, venerated as protector of the Bolognese. According to tradition, the image arrived in Bologna in the twelfth century and DA has been the focus of devotion, legends and rites ever since.

The Basilica is located on the Colle della Guardia, at the end of the famous Portico di San Luca, the longest in the world with 666 arches that run for almost 4 km DA no : a unique work that has accompanied pilgrims and visitors for centuries. Its interior, with its splendid dome, refined altars and striking play of light, gives an exciting atmosphere, while the facade dominates hills and cities offering spectacular views.

This is the only regular group tour dedicated to San Luca, led by a Guide who tells its history, curiosities and anecdotes. A journey through art, spirituality and tradition, capable of capturing the most authentic soul of Bologna.
