What you can expect

Imagine spending your days living in underground tunnels, only able to come out at night when the sun is down - that's what the people of Cu Chi did nearly 50 years ago during the Vietnam War.

At 8:00AM for the morning Tour OR 1:00PM for the afternoon Tour

Start with convenient pickup from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city. Heading out of town to Cu Chi Tunnels. Along the way we will pass by the scenic local countryside, where you might even spot ducks and buffalo cooling off in the river

After 1.5 hour car ride.We arrive Cu Chi Tunnels, where you will:

  • Watch a documentary film that takes you to the past with an introduction of the Cu Chi Tunnels.

  • Crawl short distances through the tunnels that were used by the guerrilla fighters during the Vietnam War. You may see a kitchen, living quarters, and a meeting room on the way. The tunnels have been enlarged so visitors can crawl through them, imagine what it must have been like before!

  • Learn about how different types of booby trap - the symbol of guerrilla warfare - were created and set up.

  • Visit the weapons room and learn how the ingenious Viet Cong soldiers made them.

  • Get adventurous and go to the shooting range to fire a real AK-47. The cost for the bullets are not included in this price.

At 1:00PM Head back Ho Chi Minh city. Arrive at around: 2:30PM (for the morning Tour)

At 5:00PM Head back Ho Chi Minh city. Arrive at around 6:30PM (for the afternoon Tour)

Was education and priced well. Only issued I had was they didnt warn of the bugs and mosquitos. Would be nice to know so could have dressed appropriately/have bug spray. Wore shorts and had about 20 bites within 10 minutes. Left the tour early because of it.

The tour guide began with a fantastice overviewnof the history of foreign influence in Vietnam. The jungle, the military equipment and weapons, the tunnels, the rain! It was eerily enchanting! Great tour!

It was a interesting, educational, and enlightening experience! Our tour guide Mr. Tuan is a Vietnam veteran who lived through those times, was in the frontline and fought the war himself, I think it was so cool to hear stories coming from him. It was an enjoyable experience indeed. My 5 year old daughter who travelled with us did not mind the 2 hour drive since we were sitting in the bus comfortably, and there were stops for pee break. Highly recommended!

There was a brief shopping stop before arriving at the tunnels. Our guide was Kevin, he was funny, animated, and had some funny stories. He asked questions and tried to get the group involved. I had a good experience and recommend this to anyone looking to learn about this period and see the actual tunnels and expand your knowledge about the war. Thanks for a great time Kevin!

Our guide Tuan is a Vietnam war veteran and the perfect person to explain the Cu Chi tunnels that he personally lived and survived during the war. Unfortunately 4 of his brothers did not survive the war. This was a very educational tour for me as an American to hear from a Viet Congress personal experience. This was very touching experience for us and to realize that the Vietnamese do not hold a grudge against Americans.
