the bathroom door didn’t stay shut or lock, the toilet seat was completely detached from the actual toilet, and the area around the hotel smelled kind of bad

Great location, centrally located and next to the cathedral of Barcelona. Room was spacious and comfortable. Only negative was small elevators, but common in Europe. Over a great experience and highly recommend.

The views from the top are amazing and the location is a short walk from la Rambla.

Great location right in the old town close to the metro and still quiet. Grand old palace with large garden and courtyard, unfortunately the place needs a good handyman to fix the ok but not good maintenance issues (which did not effect our stay). Breakfast is great value.

Great property that is well maintained with attentive staff. The area is a ways off from the center though. Positive are that it's super quiet. Negatives are that there are limited dining options in the immediate vecinity.
