Changxing Island Pet-friendly Vacations

It was clean. I just wish that the staff would speak English. Some of the counter people were helpful and others weren't.

This is a fantastic hotel that is very reasonably priced. It looks to be part of a larger development at the site that combines the hotel with high end condos. There is a good restaurant onsite, but be warned that it is literally miles away from anything. I stayed here because of a business client about 5 miles to the south, and didn't want to deal with the 1 hour commute from downtown/central Shanghai, but once my work was done I relocated to central Shanghai to be near the Bund and other interesting places.

Had a great time at the Shanghai Jingan Pullman. Ryan, who checked us in, was awesome and upgraded us to a full suite with a really lovely bathtub. Watch for the weird steps and changes in elevation (which I think is a china architectural thing overall), though. The light switches were a little confusing as well, but otherwise place was super clean and modern looking. They will give you as much bottled water as you want too, if you ask. We had the do not disturb sign on but asked them to restock some stuff for us while we were gone, and the sweet housekeeping lady tried to speed-run cleaning the whole place while the room was a wreck with our exploded suitcases... Location was great, too, next to Shanghai train station and easy access to subway.

The front desk staff were excellent in helping out our business team on our first visit to Shanghai. Specifically, Sinnie took the time to help us with dinner and transportation that made our stay exceptional. When we travel again to Shanghai, we will be staying at the Amara due to Sinnie great help as well as the wonderful hotel.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Helped me get my misplaced bag back and gave great information about the local area. Very much a business type hotel mostly a commercial area.

Only stayed for one night but it was lovely stay

Very spacious and elegant rooms with a fantastic oversized bathtub, with amazing view of Pudong. Delicious breakfast.

I loved the neighborhood and the French Quarter, there are all kinds of cool, interesting restaurants, and coffee shops. I felt very safe at all times and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. I would recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai.
