The property is beautiful! The food is good. The old aristocratic hotel! Yet, I stayed at better properties, Leela Palace is wonderful!

The pillows were wrotten and all wrong sizes, the bed sank down, thre was no support, the replacement mattress was too small. towels were in shortage, supplies were not replenished in proper quantities or number. Staff was untrained. Every request had to be reminded 2-3 times. No attention give to issues.

Manod was by far the most helpful out of the staff. My stay here in India went great. On my first night I didn’t do enough research and noticed I did not have the proper charging adapter for my phone. Manod kindly asked around the staff and they provided me with an adapter for the nights to come. Manod always had a smile on his face and you could tell he was genuinely happy to be at your service. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced stay near main attractions and the city this is the place to be!

As an American visiting New Delhi, avoid this place. The pictures of the outside are deceiving. This is not a good area of New Delhi. The traffic is congested at all hours of the day. The room itself had potential. Updated bathroom, clean fixtures. The linens however did not look clean. Also, the paint in the room itself was peeling but it almost looked like some kind of mold. They don’t clean your room and say they can only clean IF you leave your room key?? The roof top bar was nice (if you didn’t have a view of the slums. Just don’t look over the edge I guess) and our waiter was great and provided great service. Very attentive. Also the food was actually pretty good.
