Not for family, but couples or solo travellers? I dare to say the best price to value especially you always feel like hotel is a place to feel like you are welcome to the city. 5/5 stars

Very clean and spacious room with well-equipped amenities. Breakfast buffet was excellent with variety of options. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Location wise needs a bit of walking to transportation (10-15 mins) but it was pleasant walk. Overall very nice stay and will definitely come back next time.

Summer holidays to bring my girlfriend to Shanghai to play, live in Banyan Tree out of the door is the North Bund, very close and convenient, compared to the Bund, downtown. Olly at the front desk was enthusiastic and the other staff were great! The soaking pool room is worth recommending to friends!
