Manitoulin Island Cheap Vacations

This was my 2nd time staying at the Linq Resort. It does not disappoint. There is a charge if you want early check in or late check out. However, that has become the norm for all hotel chains. We did pay the $50 for early check in, because check in is 4pm and we got to Las Vegas at 10am. We were going to a show and wanted to get in the room, so we had a chance to unpack and freshen up prior to leaving for the show. Breakfast at the Hash House, upstairs was quiet the experience. The plates of food are ridiculously huge portions. They did let me order sides of eggs, toast and fruit. Even that, was an entire platter of food, including a whole banana and multiple slices of melon, oranges and lots of grapes. It was VERY entertaining, watching the huge plates of food going out and the expressions on the unexpecting customers. The Linq is very conveniently located, making everything very walkable. The only issue, it was 114 degrees while we were there. The Linq does a great job, very friendly staff. I highly recommend them for anyone travelling to Las Vegas.

Overall, our stay at the Palazzo was "ok", but there were several aspects of the experience that were disappointing. My biggest concern was the substantial incidental hold placed on our debit card at check-in. This was not explained to us at check-in. We stayed five nights, and the Palazzo placed a $750 hold ($150 per night) on our card. We don't charge purchases to our room, so having that amount of our available funds tied up for the duration of our stay was inconvenient. Ironically, we were forced to charge purchases to the room this trip since what little available funds we had left were for expenses outside the Palazzo. We also experienced a complete water outage for more than an hour during our stay. Unfortunately, this occurred while we were getting ready for a 2:00 p.m. show at the Sphere. I was in the middle of a shower when the water stopped and had to rinse the soap off using bottled water we happened to have in the room. While I understand unexpected issues can occur, this was a significant inconvenience, especially at a luxury resort.

I like everything beside no fridge, microwave, and water shower head have no pressure.
