The hotel was nice however my 17th floor room had a difficult time getting hot water

Overall, our stay at the Palazzo was "ok", but there were several aspects of the experience that were disappointing. My biggest concern was the substantial incidental hold placed on our debit card at check-in. This was not explained to us at check-in. We stayed five nights, and the Palazzo placed a $750 hold ($150 per night) on our card. We don't charge purchases to our room, so having that amount of our available funds tied up for the duration of our stay was inconvenient. Ironically, we were forced to charge purchases to the room this trip since what little available funds we had left were for expenses outside the Palazzo. We also experienced a complete water outage for more than an hour during our stay. Unfortunately, this occurred while we were getting ready for a 2:00 p.m. show at the Sphere. I was in the middle of a shower when the water stopped and had to rinse the soap off using bottled water we happened to have in the room. While I understand unexpected issues can occur, this was a significant inconvenience, especially at a luxury resort.

If you are looking for a hotel close to a lot of attractions ‘and’ Times Square is your thing, then this might be for you. Various subway stops are close by, Central Park and Bryant Park are a 10min walk as are many other places you are likely to visit, public library, summit one, top to the rock, grand central to name a few. The hotel is OK, public areas are clean and today but we were let down by the fact our room was only visited once during a 5 night trip, no bins emptied, no top up coffee etc and no beds made. Whilst it didn’t spoil our trip, it was disappointing. We had breakfast on one morning but found it to be mediocre, awful coffee, dry pastries as if left over from the day before. Fruit was nice though but not worth the £75 dollars for 3 guests. New York and the people are fantastic, this hotel was just ‘fine’

Everything was great. We were welcomed by the staff and when we got to the room. We were pleased. Everything was clean and well maintained. It was small but you expect that in New York City. The property was close to all the theaters and Times Square. Rockefeller Center was just up the street. Since my wife is not a big walker, that was so convenient. I'd easily choose to stay here again.
