"Staff somewhat helpful but do not go above and beyond. I waited half an hour for a dinner bill and the bartender would not help to call the required staff. Shower took several minutes to respond when faucets were turned. "

"We stayed at Hotel Verde Azul for seven nights and greatly enjoyed its laid-back atmosphere. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked well, the bed was comfortable, the shower had plenty of hot water, the breakfast hours were good (6:30-9:00), the hammocks by the pool were perfect for chilling in the shade during the hot afternoons, the walk down to the waterfront was an easy one, and, best of all the staff were very kind and helpful."

"We had a lovely time here. The staff is attentive and kind. We were initially assigned a room on the 2nd floor. The manager observed that I was moving slowly due to a recent knee injury, and moved us to the ground floor next to the pool and breakfast area. All this without us even asking. The breakfast is excellent, and consists of your choice of scrambled or fried eggs, ham, cheese, pastry of the day, a serving of fruit, and various freshly pressed juices from local fruits (naranjillo, blackberry, orange, etc.). Self-serve beverages include coffee, tea, milk, or yogurt. The rooms are cleaned every day, spotless and neat, with extra towels delivered upon request. The pool area is super clean and tidy. Upon my request, they immediately completed a minor repair of the door. A staff member also recommended a great dinner restaurant with live bachata music. To top all this, La Casa de Judy is close to the Darwin Station, Station Beach, town center, numerous restaurants, galleries, and shops, the bank, and even the benches where sea lions lounge. If you are looking for a fun place that is at once environmentally aware and comfortable, this is it!"
