The room was spacious for two and a very enjoyable environment…great city scape views on the upper levels of the hotel!

It was cold at night and I looked for the air conditioner (heater) switch but couldn't find it, so I called the front desk but no one answered. I called every hour after that because it was cold, but they did not answer until 6:00am. The room description says 24 hour front desk service but what the hell is going on?

The only downside to the room I was in was that there were only 2 socket outlets, both floor level and nowhere near the desk or bed.

This hotel is terrible. No ACs in rooms is one thing but the bathroom was horrible. All the water collects after using shower and we had to wipe floor with towels so that we don't fall. The only power outlet to charge our phones is located center of bed so if you want to use outlet its right above your head. When you wake up your head will hit whatever you plug in. Horrible set up for outlets. Rooms are very small, no AC in peak summer and they give you some excuse that they building is participating in when whole of Switzerland even airport bathrooms are air conditioned! Over priced, garbage hotel!

We liked the view from our apartment. We were on the top floor and had a beautiful view over the city and the mountains in the distance. The staff was very hospitable and helpful. A perfect place for a short stay in Zurich.

This hotel is very nice. Our room was huge. Property was very stylish. The shower is definitely unique and I'd prefer to not have to squeegee the floor... but it didn't create an issue for us. The front desk staff was SO friendly (a rarity in Switzerland) and helpful. Trams weren't too far of a walk and there were a decent amount of food places to walk to nearby. Overall, we liked it.

Better for business stays
Good for a business stay, as the hotel is still new I feel like they still have to find their groove. Takes forever for the team to clean the rooms or process minor requests. Location is a bit weird as well. Overall it's clean and modern and comfortable

Great and modern hotel, very spacious room. The only issue was the shower, you shouldn't have to squeegee the bathroom floor every time you shower. The shower is badly designed and could be improved by having a proper glass partition.

The hotel is very nice an clean. After we got there we found that the location was not very convenient for our quick stay as it was not close to the train station or airport.

This hotel presented exactly as it was advertised. The rooms were quiet, had a wonderful view and were updated. The staff was very helpful and always smiled. The breakfast buffet was top notch, as was the restaurant. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling.

An OK hotel.
The hotel was ok. It wasn’t bad per day but the staff at the bar in the evening wasn’t super pleasant and it felt a little out of the way of everything in Zurich. Also, had a kinda scary window that opened directly up that seemed extremely dangerous for children.

The rooms are pretty small I booked the room for three people and they gave us 1 small room bug enough for one person. The hotel staff was friendly but I don't recommend this hotel. The shower was wide open and had no privacy.

A child under six years old, is meant to share the same bed. This is stated on all online portals. For the shower, we would have installed a curtain, upon request.Best regards

Not great for tourist
Hotel is in an industrial area. Not for tourists. They no longer offer free parking which is the only reason we stayed there. The A/C was horrendous.

Dear travis The hotel is located in a suburban area of Zurich. Getting to the city centre is a breeze with the local public transport. We did offer free parking till mid-April as a thank you gesture during the Covid-19 period. As teh restrictions have been lifted, all hotels have started charging for parking again. We do not have air-conditioning as the Placid Hotel Zurich is eco-friendly. What we have is an air-cooling system that derives cool air from 200 metres underground. We are playing our part in saving our planet for the future generations. Much said, we do hope to have you as a guest again in the future. Best regards
