Clean, friendly, but no climate control/loud area

The hotel is basic but clean. The staff is nice. The two biggest issues for me were: 1) there is no climate control in the rooms. My room was quite hot due to the centralized heating and there was no way to change or turn off that heating function. 2) if you try to open the balcony door (to help regulate temperature etc it is extremely loud as the hotel is at the intersection of two busy streets and the noise is there 24 hours. If you have to stay in this area there aren’t many options and if there was any type of in room climate control this would be a great option.

Good service, friendly staff

The hotel is located in the outskirts of Zurich. The rooms are modern and spacious, but located in a neighbouring flat house, which means you may have to drag your luggage over the yard to get to your room - something to keep in mind if you’re carrying heavy luggage with you. Breakfast is simple but okay. Helpful and friendly staff.

Looking for the hotel parking was difficult. Registration desk to the hotel room was unpaved and hard to carry suit cases and get dirt suit case rollers. Room was wide and very clean, wash machines and cloth dryers were free to use!! It help me for long days trip. All stuffs were very kind and friendly.

Staff was nice and breakfast was very affordable (chf 10). However I didn’t know it’s like a community apartment where you live in an almost like an apartment complex, not a hotel. There was no amenities, just the rooms. The neighborhood was safe but a bit far from the city and also the building is located right next to the big road so the air and the noise was bad. The room itself was very clean and staff at the property was very nice and welcoming!

This is a bare bones but clean room. The check in was friendly. The rooms are in a residential building separate from the reception area. Convenient to tram to the airport. Tram takes 20 min. This is in a residential area with few amenities or attractions . There is an Aldi nearby. And a mini fridge in room.

Perfect hotel for a friendly and comfortable stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting christmas markets and exploring Zurich. Location wise this hotel is fantastic, it is just outside the hustle and bustle of Zurich centre but with the convenient tram stop outside you can be in most places within 30 mins. The hotel itself is lovely, the room had what we needed for a comfortable stay: large bathroom, safe, fridge, comfy beds and heating. The concept of the hotel is a wonderful idea by training and supporting young adults in employment. All staff we met were so friendly and happy to help no matter what. Breakfast was continental and there was more then enough choice for us. We popped into the restaurant for lunch as well and the food was delicious. I definitely recomend a stay here as a base for exploring Zurich.

My wife and I came to really enjoy this property. The auto check in was very convenient and having parking available was awesome (though it did take us some time to find the correct parking spots available. The rooms are located in a local residential area which initially caught us off guard, but it was very safe and we enjoyed being among local families with children playing outside. The area felt very safe and homey. The room was spotless clean and well appointed with updated furniture that was comfortable. I definitely recommend Zweibeck to travelers who , like us, prefer to get away from tourist areas and blend into the local culture. One additional note, though we never actually ate at the Bistro, the Italian Bar/restaurant seemed to always be open and have excellent sandwiches, drinks, and coffee as well as pastries.

The check in experience was awful and almost ruined our entire outlook on Switzerland. However, someone was walking by and showed us the self check in phone and we had to use this to get a code to get a key and then find our room ourselves. (Note that for future travelers it is a self check in experience). However, the following morning when the bistro was actually open, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast included was great. The area itself is odd since it seems like an apartment complex so its not a true hotel. The room got quite hot at night and so we had to open the window but traffic was very loud so we could not leave it open for long. The room was nice and very clean to note though as well. The last nice thing was the metro was across the street so getting around was very easy.
