Very nice accomodations
Very nice stay, just like last time I was here. Only complaint is that the ID scanner couldn't read my ID so I had to enter my details manually. Not a problem just a little inconvenient.

Check-in any time!
The check-in automated machine was good, I'd rate it 95%. My only problem was a delayed reaction to my signature which caused me to "X" out of the screen which dumped me back to the start screen. Then I had to go through the check-in process again. It also caused a double charge to my credit card which was almost immediately refunded - that made me VERY happy. The room was clean and very modern. It's close to the train tracks but I was exhausted so the noise didn't bother me.

Toatlly self service accommodation
The reception had no staff. We had to check in on our own. Room is OK, but the door of the bathroom is glass. Self help croissant and drinks for breakfast.

Good location - convenient to train station. Safe neighborhood. Quiet room. Comfortable mattress. No microwave. No front desk staff. I had difficulties with the self check-in.

The check in by Anita and her general helpfulness was superb. She truly cares and your stay at the Villa Filaus. Also she is very informative on what to do. The location near the promenade and other facilities is excellent.

Great Hotel
Excellent place, rooms were big and i was lucky to have a balcony, the weather helped as it was hot.. no air con which is a dissapointment but the balcony helped leaving the door open. Church next door so be ready for the bells. Clean hotel and staff are friendly. Short walk to bars and shops. Tea and Coffee available all day downstairs near reception. More like a 4 star. English channels available.

Beware of trains.... No sleep.
Don't book this hotel in case you plan to do some sleeping. I used ear plugs but that was not enough. Trains keept me woke all night. But other than you cannot get Any sleep the hotel was good: Nice self service check in machine. Clean room. And nice location in the friendly small village of Uster.

Fabiola is stay in Uster!
The stay at Tilia was lovely. The hotel exceeded all our expectations by far. The croissants and coffee were an added bonus for sure. Rooms were very clean and there was no disturbance/ noise. The only fault I could find was the pillows hurt our neck as they were to soft.

Good Hotel, Great Location
Hotel is very clean and modern. Beds were comfy and rooms were spacious. Convenient to the train station with a 15/20 min train into Zurich main station. My only complaint would be there is not someone at the front desk all the time. We had an issue with our key not working and had to keep checking to find someone to fix it. My only other complain would be there is a Church right behind the hotel that starts ringing it’s bells at 6:45 AM everyday for at least 5-10 minutes!!! Guess that’s why they provide earplugs inside the bathroom medicine cabinet.

Einfach nur Top 🔝
Ein sehr schönes Hotel. Anscheinend erst Anfang Januar 2024 eröffnet… Modernes Design mit etwas Industrie look. Top motiviertes Personal, sehr aufmerksam, und freundliche. Rundum einfach gut, habe es schon einigen Freunden weiter empfohlen 💪😜👍

Suchen bis gefunden...
Beschriftungen zwecks Wegleitung zu den Zimmern sind ungenügend, der Eingang zur Einstellhalle ist gar nicht beschriftet(!) und die Anweisung per E-Mail klar irreführend. Das hat uns verärgert. Der Check-In Automat steht draussen an der Kälte, zwar etwas geschützt aber der schmutzige Boden voller Herbstlaub (an Silvester!?) lädt nicht ein, das Gepäck abzustellen während dem Check-In. Hier muss nachgebessert werden. Schade, hat es an Neujahr gar keine Croissants in der Snack-Ecke. Der Kaffee war ganz ok.

Lieber DieterBesten Dank für die 8/10 Punkte, trotz den erwähnten negativ Punkten.Leider haben wir bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt keine negativen Erfahrungen bezüglich den Beschriftungen gehabt. Die Zimmer sind vor der Haupttüre, im Lift sowie auch vor den Zimmertüren beschriftet.Leider können wir uns für die Natur nicht entschuldigen. Ab dem Check in Automaten (Nach hinten) ist alles überdacht.Leider hat unser Croissant Lieferant am 1.1 geschlossen, sodass Sie nichts ausgeliefert haben. Wir hoffen trotzdem Sie konnten sich am Rest bedienen.Freundliche Grüsse

Ist direkt beim Bahnhof und der Zugverkehr war gut hörbar - war für mich aber sekundär. Es wäre schön, wenn es die Möglichkeit gäbe, das Frühstück dazuzubuchen

Guten Tag Elisabeth, herzlichen Dank für Deine Bewertung zum Aufenthalt im Hotel Tilia.Wir haben kein Restaurant und somit kein Frühstücksbuffet. Dennoch offerieren wir unseren Gästen eine kleine 'Kaffee Ecke' mit Heissgetränken, Orangensaft und Mineralwasser. Dies ist zur Selbstbedienung.

Schönes Hotel, sehr sauberes und modernes Zimmer. Leider liegt das Hotel direkt am Bahndamm. Was bedeutet, dass man nachts kein Fenster offen lassen kann aufgrund des extremen Lärms der vielen Züge.

Ich wollte ein leises ! Zimmer da ich für 3 Tage gebucht habe. Bekommen habe ich ein Zimmer direkt am Bahngleis. Schade. Das Zimmer war laut und heiss.

Guten Tag Monika Heidemarie, da wir uns in der Hochsaison befinden und eine sehr hohe Belegung haben, ist die Zimmerzuteilung nicht immer perfekt möglich, gemäss Gästewünschen. Es tut mir aufrichtig Leid, dass es nicht so geklappt hat wie gewünscht.

Hallo Ben, danke für Deinen Kommentar.Du hast offensichtlich gebucht, ohne genau zu lesen, was Du ausgewählt hast.Zimmer mit 'Gemeinschaftsbad im Nebengebäude' ist tatsächlich ein 'Zimmer im Nebengebäude' und nicht im Hotel selbst. Die Fotos bei der, von Dir gewählten, Zimmerkategorie sind korrekt hinterlegt. Tut mir Leid, dass Du wegen Deiner Unachtsamkeit unzufrieden warst. Gruss aus Uster

Absolut unhöfliches und respektloses Personal. Ich habe 6 Tage und 6 Nächte mit meinem Kater dort geschlafen. Das Tiere nicht erlaubt sind , habe ich nicht wahrgenommen. Und als ich noch eine Katze im Hotel sah war ich geruhigt. Es gab auch keine Rezeption wo ich hätte fragen können. Am 6. Tag stand da ein Mann vor der Zimmertür, er stellte sich nicht vor. Sagte nur ich hätte gegen die Hausordnung verstossen und müsse in 15min das Hotel verlassen. Ja ich habe die Hausordnung missachtet, aber so respektlos braucht man nicht sein!!!

Hallo Tamara, danke für Deinen Kommentar. Das ist absolut korrekt, wir akzeptieren keine Haustiere im Hotel Tilia, was auch ganz klar ersichtlich ist. Du warst in den letzten 6 Jahren die erste Person, die diese Info 'nicht respektierte'. Dass Dein Kater mit Windeln das ganze Zimmer voll blutete ist noch ein weiterer Aufwand, den wir nicht in Rechnung gestellt hatten. Das Katzenfutter stank so grässlich in Deinem Zimmer, dass wir es 2 Nächte nicht mehr vermieten konnten. Es gibt also gute Gründe, weshalb wir keine Haustiere in unserem Hotel möchten.

Gutes, sauberes Hotel mit Self-Check-in
Sauberes, schönes Zimmer. Ich habe mich wohl gefühlt. Kaffee, Gipfeli, Orangensaft und Wasser stehen zur freien Verfügung. Einziger Nachteil, nahe am Zuggleis und etwas laut, wenn man es sich nicht gewohnt ist. Würde aber wieder buchen! Vielen Dank!
