O Centro do Rio, nessa região, apesar de super movimentada, principalmente, nos finais de semana, pode assustar a quem não está adaptado à zona que é a Lapa, muitos estabelecimentos fechados, patrimônio histórico degradado, à excessão de muitos revitalizados bem na Av Mende Sá e adjacências.
