"Sunbird Ku Chawe is situated high up on the Zomba Plateau - one definitely needs a car to get there. It has perfectly manicured beautiful gardens. Even though it was very hot the time that I was there, there is always a cool breeze as it is so high up! I loved my room with the views of the Zomba town & far off mountains such as Chiradzulu and Mulanje. Had a wet room and modern fixtures in the bathroom. "This was a fairly nice and pretty place to stay within walking distance of much of the town, although you will want to be cautious walking down the hill through some street hawkers and would never do so after dark. The staff was very excellent, friendly, and approachable. My only complaint, which led me to leave a night early, was that the WiFi went out for over a day and the owner was evidently unwilling to fix it and I needed WiFi for my work so I went elsewhere.
