Disappointing Stay - Far Below Five-Star Expectations After saving for our annual holiday, we were genuinely excited about our 12-night stay at Domes Aulus Zante. Unfortunately, the reality did not match the marketing, and we left feeling disappointed. The resort is advertised as a five-star all-inclusive property, but in our experience it was nowhere near that standard. The room showed clear signs of neglect, including rusty bathroom fixtures, stained bedding, poor housekeeping and makeshift towel hooks that were literally exposed nails in the wall. Our “bungalow with garden view” was actually on the first floor and the view looked nothing like the promotional photos. The facilities were also limited. There was only one pool for the entire resort and guests were reserving loungers early every morning. For what is marketed as a premium resort, it lacked the space and atmosphere we expected. Food quality and variety were another major frustration. The buffet rarely changed throughout our stay and choices quickly became repetitive. The speciality restaurants sounded impressive when booking, but securing reservations was difficult and the menus were surprisingly limited. Calling the Mexican option a restaurant is generous, as it was simply a food truck within the resort. The bar experience was equally disappointing. Cocktails tasted artificial and when we queried them we were told they were largely made using syrups rather than being properly mixed. Perhaps most frustrating was

Extremely Disappointing — We Left Within About an Hour Our experience at Domes Aulūs Zante – All Inclusive – Autograph Collection was completely unacceptable, particularly for a property carrying the Marriott Autograph Collection name and charging luxury-hotel prices. My traveling companion and I booked two rooms for three nights. After a long day traveling through Greece, we arrived expecting the level of cleanliness, service, and hospitality associated with Marriott. Almost immediately upon entering our rooms, we both noticed a strong musty/mold-like odor. We reported it to management and were shown two additional rooms, but we perceived the same odor in those rooms as well. What disturbed us even more was how our concerns were handled. We were provided plug-in devices that staff initially represented to us as being for mosquitoes. When I questioned this explanation and confronted management about the devices being used as air fresheners, the manager acknowledged to me that they were air fresheners. We also documented numerous cleanliness and maintenance concerns with photographs, including dark discoloration and deteriorated areas around the shower enclosure, visible hair left on the toilet, and poorly maintained surfaces. At that point, we no longer felt comfortable remaining at the property. We left within approximately one hour of arriving and paid for alternative accommodations ourselves. We did not use the hotel for our three-night vacation and did not simply d

Staff were extremely helpful, grounds were beautiful. Lots of cats and little pups around (not sure if strays or if the hotel was caring for them) but all very friendly and loved feeding them. Rooms spacious and clean.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the airport but if you want to fully explore the island I would recommend staying in the northern part. The property has been fully refurbished 3 years ago but expect a lot of tour operator customers coming for the all inclusive drinks. The staff is nice and helpful however there is a clear communication gap between the various departments.
