We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights in November 2015. The hotel is located right on the lake and the view from our balcony was great. The room was quite clean, and the wifi coverage in the room was good.
It’s not easy to communicate with staff in English. We were also disappointed with the level of service: when we called for directions on the way to the hotel (we were driving) reception staff were not very helpful. We had to make repeated calls until finally locating the hotel. Parking is only available at a public car park a few minutes’ walk away, we had to offload the luggage at the hotel doorstep and continue to park our vehicle.
Breakfast was not the best I had in Taiwan hotels. While loading the plate one of the staff members made a comment to my friend along the lines of “this breakfast is for eating here only, not takeaway”, not something you’d expect to hear from hotel staff.
The area is very quiet at night, although it might become livelier in summer. Most restaurants are closed by 8pm. The restaurant in the hotel stays open until 9. There is a laundry across the road, self-serve washer and drier.
