A wonderful stay

The folks there are so helpful And friendly, the room is on the small side but comfy and our room had a little terrace to sit out on in the evening. The breakfast is very nice and the hotel is so close to the train/bus station and in the old town with many shops and restaurants.

A wonderful stay

What a charming hotel in the old town part of Ystad. The staff were so helpful and friendly! The breakfast is lovely. The room was small but cozy with a little balcony, a comfy bed and sort of shabby chic decor. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay for my cousin‘s graduation. We were visiting from the United States and England. Fantastic location. Very walkable. We especially enjoyed the smörgåsbord breakfast, hotel decor, and talking with the owners of the hotel. Tack så mycket!

This boutique hotel was an unexpected delight. In a nineteenth-century building made comfortable for the 21st century while preserving some of the feel of the past. Staff were warm and helpful. Fantastic breakfast buffet that caters to a wide range of preferences. Friendly advice for first-timers--it's in the walking area of Ystad so don't expect to drive up to the door. Very cheap parking is nearby though.

Very good

Small, nice hotel. Nice art all over. Our room was quite small but perfectly enough space for one night stay. Quiet area. Parking is available on the back side of the hotel. Tasty breakfast. In the middle of the center so the restaurants etc. are close.

The room was so tiny and there was virtually no storage space. Also quite warm in admittedly warm weather - the small fan was not adequate. Very limited (paid) parking. BUT our hosts were excellent as was the breakfast and the place was very clean.

Good budget option with elevator

Breakfast wa really fantastic, staff helpful, but the room and bed were just too small for us! Would stay again if we could get a room with a bigger bed. We are too used to our king size bed at home! Also was surprised at how easily the sound of local night scene seemed to carry but I am a light sleeper.

We loved the Prins Carl. It is in a great location to explore Ystad. The family owned and operated hotel was so much fun with its whimsical, artistic decor built around the legacy of Prince Carl and his dog. The top floor, three bedroom apartment was perfect for our family of two children, parents and grandparents. The apartment windows and balcony with seating area have stunning views of the harbor and town. It would be great for two or three couples on a weekend getaway. The staff were so nice and clearly love their property. The train station is an easy 3 minute walk away. We had such a great time at Prins Carl!

Run down and grossly overpriced.

Worn room, last renovated in the 80s. The bed was hard and squeky - made for bad sleep. Plenty of hair in the bathroom. It would barely have been acceptable at 700 SEK and it was, in fact, 1700 SEK.

Ett enkelt hotell men som andades trevnad, välkomnande. Inget fel på frukosten förutom äggröran som var väldigt torr. Som vegetarian saknades kanske något ytterligare pålägg. Mysigt o lugnt i restaurangen på morgonen. Tyvärr var den stängd på lördagskvällen men provar den gärna nästa gång.

Mycket trevlig personal. Frukosten var det bra utbud. Lite ovant att checka in själv och hämta ut nycken men det gick bra. Rummet fanns det mycket att önska om. Väldigt dålig belysning och den taklampan som fanns hade en kupa över sig som var full av gamla insekter. Golvet var så slitet att man kunde lyfta på golvsektioner. Detta var inget trevligt att gå på. Rummet var stort, sängen Var hård (men det passade mig bra). Duschen var kaklad. kunde gärna varit lite större duschmunstycke.
