Stableside at York Racecourse
Great friendly hotel. Handy for local pubs (recommend The Cross Keys), the racecourse for parkrun (10 mins walk away from the start) and dog-walking. Frequent bus service at the top of the drive. Forget the budget chains - this is the one for us!

Malmaison York
We come to york several times a year and this time was specifically for our 8 year wedding anniversary... Reception was clean and helpful. The suite, which we stayed in had a stained sofa, broken draws and unlockable bathroom door! AND you have to force the the main door to ensure it deadlocked!!!! ...
