Clean room and friendly staff. Right in between both beaches,so a good location! I only wished the wifi worked,but there were attraction brochures at the front desk. We would book this motel again if we go back.

Wifi has now become such major commodity and the capacity of a full house puts a great strain on the band width. in any given building expect those that i clearly tell guests that they will not be able to get wifi and i do instruct that the office area is our public area for checking ones email. never the less it is something we will have to have to expand upon. Hotel is outdated, but was clean. Bring your own TP! Small outdoor pool on premise, great location! Easy to walk to two different beaches or the local shopping area and zoo. No ac but fortunately it was cool enough.

If the housekeeper forgot to leave a fresh roll of TP I am sorry. our office is opened 14 hours a day from 10 to 11 pm or later weekend nights, your room needed only to call to bring this to our attention and give you what you needed..This an over site i can honesty say happens once in a blue moon. So future guests don't worry we supply toilet paper daily . Sincerely, Adele office manager

Great staff! Meh place to stay.
We stayed for three nights. There was a raisin on the floor the whole time we were there. T.V. was quite dusty, also. It is a no frills sort of place. The staff, however, was amazing, friendly, helpful, and understanding.

The room was dated, but clean. The grounds and facilities were well maintained but in need or repair and updating. My sister joined me for the night and was charged an additional $40 to stay and park her car for 12 hours. This seemed somewhat ridiculous considering the amount I paid for the room. Staff was nice, pool was clean.

Check out 10 am. Staff was knocking at 9:30. Asked to leave vehicle until 12 to visit beach. Was told i must be off premises to accommodate early check ins.. there was not 1 car in lot. I could leave car if I paid extra. Lot next door was only 3$. I travel weekly. Lost potential customer for pettiness.

Needs new everything. Location good.
Very dated. No wifi in room. Renovations would make such a difference because the location is great. I paid too much for my stay but it was a place to sleep and that was it.

Nice hotel closed to the beach, and everything
This was my husband first vacation. We loved that everything was a walk distant to the town and restaurant and other beaches. Extra clean, but everything was very old and olfaction. The window blind was hard to open and closed that at night we can't closed it and my husband was very outset and went to the old sofa to sleep because the light don't let him sleep. Everything in that room was like 50 year old. The carpet very old too and had stain on it, but they vacuum it every day. love the bathroom shower nice pressure and hot water. We love the pool my granddaughter have a nice time there. The kitchen item again very old place, fork, spoon mud old, old. But if you don't care about all that staff and you want to be closed to everything on town this is the place to go.

Great location and friendly staff
I go to York every summer and this was the first time I stayed here. The room was far more spacious than any other places. The location is super convenient to get to short or long sands. The pool was nice and well maintained. The staff was really friendly and handled check in and out very quickly. We will definitely be staying here in the future!

Cute but not prepared.
Location was great but the room was not prepared for check in. TV wasn't working and staff was not available to assist, refrigerator was available but not plugged in. Although it was cute and the location was good, those were key items for us.

Booked room with ac only to arrive and get a room with no ac. Very dated rooms and way too hot without actually. The least they could do is have fans for rooms without ac (to place in window.. not ceiling fans). Just overall not impressed at all. Would rather pay the same rate and stay further away from the beach in a nicer room

Great location and great staff !
Attended a wedding nearby and it was a perfect location. Room was clean and comfortable. The owner was very accomodating and we would definitely return.

Very clean but badly in need of updates and paint
I was very dissappointed when we walked into the room. It was clean but needed updates badly. Everything was badly worn and it wad just not inviting. I expected better for the price that wad paid.

Great location, comfy bed, very dated. 2.5 star.
We stayed here over a holiday weekend. Saturday, Sunday night. The big plus is location. Before I go on, I'd rate it a great location to stay , no issues, great staff, just dated. Nothing wrong per say , but if I was to compare this to a 5 star (out of 5) location, this one would be a 2.5. 5 Stars places go the extra mile, and will spend $$ to keep the place top notch. They will replace carpet, keep rooms updated, repaint rooms, and replace linen with new more often. Sometimes even when its not needed. 2.5 rated places are just chillin, and don't worry about all that spending, and stuff. The rooms are decent. The bed was comfy, back didn't hurt which is rare for me. The bathroom was clean but no fans. The carpets where old but clean. The living rooms in some have futons for couch with that rug like material. They collect sand. They should splurge for some sheet covers. Tip : Bring a sheet cover if the sands is gonna bug you out. Bathroom door locks seem to have been disabled as to prevent possible repairs. The pool has some cracks in the bottom that are sharp so watch out. I have no clue how they are keeping water in it? Looks like someone jumped in a cracked the floor up. We had a great time. Would I stay here again? Yes, when booking late in peak season, as other places are like 3X the price.

Can't beat the service, cleanliness or location!
I waited until the last minute to decide to take weekend away in Maine. I think I booked the last hotel room in the state - certainly it was the last room this hotel had available. I was a little concerned because of the age of the facility but it was available and in a great location. I know the area very well and never stayed at this hotel. It is exactly what they claim to be... Not fancy, not modern, no great frills, - but extremely clean and comfortable. Ideal if you don't plan on spending a lot of time hanging in your room -- why would you since there is so much to do in the area. I will definetly come back to this location.If you are expecting the Ritz or mints on your pillow, do everyone a favor and go somewhere else. This place is meant for people who want to enjoy the beachs and walks into town. Great value - great staff.

Motel location was great
The room has a good size, but it smelled musty and had no telephone or air conditioner if I wanted one would have to pay more. I have a device that needed a inland phone for my heart but stayed there any way

As promised
A clean, simple, well-located, beach hotel and what I would expect in York Beach having gone to different hotels there for decades. Has a clean pool which was very important to us with both 3 & 6 foot ends. The owner was kind to let us swim past the 8pm closing since it was still light and let us stay an hour longer on the day of departure so we could have a nice swim. The efficiency was big enough and kitchen was stocked enough. Only thing missing was air conditioning which we knew before we went so we were not surprised. However, an oscillating fan in the room in addition to the ceiling fan would move the air and help make it cooler quicker at night.

Our housekeeping staff was there to aid in any need you may have had if the towels were unsatisfactory a simple mention to her and she would if changed them out immediately. If you had mentioned that you had a special need and wanted to be on the first floor, you had the opportunity to make a special request at the time of booking with Expedia or call me direct and I would of made sure the request was filled. As far as the painting the season got ahead of us and plan on finishing that project soon, so we do apologize for the appearance. As for our stairs I beg to differ they are by no means rickety so i am very disappointed that you felt the need to give others the impression of danger. Pros: Staff was friendly things to do in walking distance (3 blocks or so). Room was clean. Cons:No coffee in room or in lobby beds was very bouncy.

The room was very basic, no amenities, but even without a/c it was pleasant sleeping. A quick walk to anything you might need, beach, restaurant or shop. A pool for the children, refrigerator and microwave.
