"Hotel Pico Velasco is a magical space nestled between nearby Santander. This 17th-century palace, once the residence of the Marqués Velasco, was painstakingly rebuilt and transformed into a boutique hotel. The perfect blend of history, elegance, and natural beauty makes Hotel Pico Velasco a true gem. Its proximity to Santander provides easy access to the city, while its serene surroundings ensure a peaceful retreat. A highlight of our stay was the exceptional culinary experience offered by the hotel's Michelin-starred chef. Please note that this exclusive experience is available by reservation only, so be sure to book in advance. I'm not sure why Hotel Pico Velasco is rated only 3 stars, perhaps due to the lack of a spa or concierge service. However, in my opinion, it deserves a much higher rating. The hotel's charm, character, and exceptional service make it a truly fantastic choice. I highly recommend Hotel Pico Velasco to anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable experience. Don't let the 3-star rating fool you – this hotel is a hidden gem!"
